Woodfine, who recently made a coaching change to work with Canadian Olympian and former 50K record holder Reid Coolsaet, has been on fire this season. He ran a 5K PB in 14:21 at the Medavie Moncton 5K Canadian championships in September, and a 10K PB of 29:33 at the Vancouver Sun Run in April.

Branna MacDougall ran 1:13:35 to take the win in the women’s race. MacDougall is a rising Canadian star at only 24. Earlier this season, she ran a five-minute personal best of 2:28:36 at the 2022 Grandma’s Marathon in Duluth, Minn. MacDougall was followed by Montreal’s Caroline Pomerleau in 1:14:20, and Kingston, Ont.’s Michelle Krezonoski in 1:15:04.
